Maruti Suzuki Ignis facelift soon to debut in 2020

Maruti Suzuki is all set to get its first update for the coming year. The 2020 Ignis facelift is expected to debut at Auto Expo 2020 that’s set to be held in Greater Noida between February 7 – 12.

The 2020 Maruti Ignis facelift will be equipped with the BS6-compliant version of the existing 1.2L, K12B / 4-cylinder petrol engine that will be able to produce power of 83PS and 113Nm of torque. The hatchback lineup can include both 5 speed manual and AMT gearbox. Currently, for now the Ignis claimed to be fuel efficiency of up to 20.89kmpl.

The 2020 Ignis styling updates include a new grille that takes design influence from the S-Presso. Then it is also has a new bumpers (front and back) that come with silver inserts and make the Ignis look even more tough and butch. The silhouette, head lamps, alloy wheels and tail lamps are almost the same when compared to the existing Ignis. It has Maruti S-Presso inspired toothed grille instead of the existing horizontal chrome slate unit. The front bumper and fog lamp assembly will also be revised.

The interior of the 2020 Ignis facelift has not yet been unveiled. It might include an updated infotainment system (Maruti’s new Smartplay unit), a new colour scheme and upholstery design. It is also expected to include Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, climate control, steering mounted audio controls, a multi-info display, dual airbags, ABS with EBD as well as rear parking sensors. 2020 Ignis facelift will be competing with the Ford Figo, Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios
