Maruti Suzuki launches the Baleno S-CNG in India
Maruti Suzuki India Limited has launched the new hatchback–the Baleno S-CNG–in India at a starting price of INR 8.28 lakh. The new Baleno S-CNG is offered in two configurations: Delta and Zeta. Alongside the Baleno S-CNG, the company has also introduced the new XL6 S-CNG models at a price of INR 12.24 lakh.

Design and features

The new Baleno’s S-CNG models get the same design as its predecessors (petrol variants). The hatchback comes with projector headlamps, LED taillamps, NEXWave grille with chrome finish, and alloy wheels.

Inside, the hatchback comes with a 7-inch infotainment system with SmartPlay Pro+ system, a steering wheel with mounted controls, a TFT colour display instrument console, and leather-upholstered seats, among others. And among the seats, the driver’s seat gets height adjustable feature and the rear seats get 60:40 split feature.

The Baleno S-CNG comes with a plethora of convenience and safety features. The premium-hatchback comes equipped with safety features such as 360 view camera, ESP with hill-hold, quad airbags, reverse parking sensors, high-speed alert system, seat belt reminder, ABS with EBD, brake assist, and ISOFIX anchorages. And for convenience, the car gets suzuki connect technology (provides more than 44 features such as vehicle trafficking, smartwatch connectivity, and others), auto climate control, all power windows, security alarm, rear AC vents, central locking, keyless entry, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, head-up display, and cruise control, among others.
Powertrain
The Baleno S-CNG is powered by the same 1197 cc dual-jet petrol engine–paired to a factory-fitted CNG kit–that generates a maximum power of 77 hp at 6000 rpm and a maximum torque of 98.5 Nm at 4300 rpm, in CNG mode. For transmission, the engine is mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Furthermore, the company claims the car to provide a mileage of 30.61 km/kg.

The Baleno S-CNG has been launched in two trim levels:Delta and Zeta–in India. The Delta comes at a price of INR 8.28 lakh and the Zeta comes at a price of INR 9.21 lakh. However, there is no official news regarding its launch here, but the fans can expect it to come at a base price of Rs 30 lakh.
