MG Hector Facelift Ready for 2021 Launch

Officially launched just a year ago, June 2019 to be precise, the MG Hector is already getting a midlife update to keep the bestseller tag to itself. The MG Hector will get some minor changes in the new facelifted version. As per the reports, the facelifted version is to come into the Indian market within January 2021 however, hope is high for Paramount Motors Private Limited, the authorized sole dealer of MG Motors in Nepal, to bring this version in Nepal as well within mid-2021. Let’s start with the interesting facts i.e the updated changes welcomed by the new 2021 MG Hector facelift version. The new Hector will receive minor changes both inside and out with the continuity of the engine setups.

Firstly, the updated version will sport a revised grille with horizontal slats sitting between the high-set LED daytime running lights. The rest of the front end with the low set LED headlamps, fog lamp, bumper, and chrome trimmings remains unchanged. Secondly, hold your heart for the newly-designed alloy wheels which are expected to come in larger designs measuring 17 to 18-inches. Besides, the rest of the side profile is likely to be carried forward. Last but not the least, the interior part of the new Hector facelift is anticipated to have a new dual-tone theme along with some additional equipment.

Moving forward to the engine, MG Hector is unlikely to receive any updates on this part. You can expect the current range to be carried ahead- a 1.5L turbocharged petrol (140bhp), 2.0L diesel (170bhp), and 1.5L petrol with a mild hybrid system mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard.

For the top-end trims, the facelift will be equipped with a 7.0-inch MID, push-button start/stop, mood lighting in 8 colors, a 60-degree view camera, 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, 4-way electrically adjustable co-driver seat, a panoramic sunroof, 8 speakers, internet connectivity via SIM card, and many more.
