Finally, the wait has come to an end, MG Motor has officially launched the MG ZS EV in Nepal making itself the most affordable all-electric compact SUV. At the price of 49.99 lakhs including a 7KW AC charger. With the press meeting, it has confirmed that the company has handed over 40 units of the ZS EV to customers within this week.
The company had opened pre-booking for this variant in July and has already received over 150 bookings in Nepal. This EV is powered by a 44.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is capable to generate power of 147 Bhp and max. the torque of 353 NM whereby 80% charge can be obtained within 30 minutes of time. ZS EV can top off from 0 – 100 kmph at just 8.5 seconds.
Through New European Driving Cycle it is assured a maximum range of 428 km with a single charge and 8 years or either 1,50,000 km warranty in battery life.
It also includes a premium panoramic sunroof and comfortable electrical adjustable seats, and a PM 2.5 air filter to purify the air inside the cabin.
The MG ZS EV’s interior comes with the over-the-air (OTA) technology along with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 6 speakers with 3D sound effect. Additional features added on is Bluetooth and USB (at front and rear) connectivity, a flat bottomed steering wheel, rearview parking camera. With the exterior it distinguish by a diamond flaky pattern for grill, wide airdam, sharp LED headlamps, silver roof rails, stylish alloy wheels and ORVMs with integrated indicators.
MG Motors are aiming to deliver 66 units of this EV in 1st week of January 2020.
