MG ZS EV gets 5 stars in New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP)

New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) has rated 5 stars for MG ZS EV in the crash test. The MG ZS EV electric SUV has scored 34.5 out of 38 for adult occupant protection and 41.7 out of 49 points for child occupant protection scoring over all of 90% and 85% respectively.

This EV is powered by a 44.5 kWh lithium-ion battery, which is capable to generate power of 147 Bhp and max. torque of 353 NM where by 80% charge can be obtained within 30 minutes of time. ZS EV can top off from 0 – 100 kmph at just 8.5 seconds. It is considered as an affordable all-electric compact SUV. At the price of 49.99 lakhs including a 7KW AC charger. 

The safety assist system in the EV scored 9.2 out of maximum 13 points and the vulnerable road users rating scored 31 point out of 48. Where as on the front and side test the car show a rigid barrier and mobile deformable barrier impacts .

MG EV is equipped with Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) for pedestrians and cyclists, it is also equipped with lane assist, seatbelt reminders, speed assist and 6 airbags and many more of safety equippments. Being an all electric affordable SUV it is able to deliver an effective amount of safety to all the passenger inside the EV.
