MG commences delivery of ZS EV with 99 kW motor in Nepal; starting price at Rs 48.49 Lakh
MG Motor, the British automobile manufacturer, has started the delivery of its ZS EV model equipped with a 99 kW motor in Nepal . The ZS EV standard model comes with a 51 kWh battery pack and a 99 kW PMS motor, whereas its other specifications remain the same as its predecessors. The company offers the new EV in two trims: the Comfort and the Deluxe–at a starting price of Rs 48.49 lakh.
Design
The new ZS EV standard models come with the same dimensions as the outgoing models. The EV measures 4323 mm in overall length, 1809 mm in overall width, 1649 mm in overall height, and it has a wheelbase of 2581 mm. Similarly, the design elements also remain the same, such as its body-coloured front grille, LED headlights and taillights, sleek DRLs, roof rails, and 17-inch alloy wheels, among others. Furthermore, the car will be offered in five different colours: Como Blue, Cosmic Silver, Diamond Red, Pebble Black, and Dover White.
Inside, the new ZS EV will come with leathered-upholstered seats, and among seats, the driver’s seat is 6-way electrically adjustable and the rear seats get the 40:60 foldable feature. The dashboard features a three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is compatible with both Apple Carplay and Android Auto. And on top, the EV comes with a panoramic sunroof.
Powertrain
The ZS EV standard range is powered by a 51 kWh battery pack–paired with a 99 kW PMS motor–that generates a peak torque of 280 Nm, and it can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in 8.5 seconds. For charging, the company also offers a 6.6 kW onboard charger that charges the EV fully in around 8 hours, and on a single charge, the EV provides a WLTP range of 320 km. Furthermore, the car is also offered with riding modes.

Features
The new ZS EV also gets a plethora of safety and convenience features as the outgoing models. As for safety, the EV comes equipped with ESP, EBA, ESS, hill descent control, auto hold, immobiliser, hill launch assistance, direct tyre pressure monitoring system, adaptive cruise control, speed assistance system, front collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane keep assistance, rear parking sensor, and 360 camera. And for convenience, the new ZS EV gets keyless entry, remote lock, one-button engine start, AC with PM2.5 pollen purification, speed limiter, trunk cover and lamp, climate control air conditioning, 6 speakers, 2 microphones, wireless phone charging, rear vents, and Bluetooth connectivity, among others.
MG ZS EV price in Nepal
Paramount Motors Pvt.Ltd, the authorised importer and distributor of MG vehicles for Nepal, has commenced the delivery of the standard range MG ZS EV at Rs 1 lakh. The ZS EV standard model comes at a starting price of Rs 48.49 lakh and it goes up to Rs 52.49 lakh. The EV serves as a rival to the BYD Atto 3 100 kW.
