MG4 EV soon to be launched in Nepal; price starts from Rs 47.99 lakh
Paramount Motors Pvt. Ltd, the authorised importer and distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, is readying to launch the all-new electric hatchback, the MG4 EV, for the Nepalese market. The new MG4 EV will be offered in two battery packs: a 51 kWh and a 64 kWh, and it provides a range of 350–452 km, depending upon the battery pack size. The company announced that it would offer the electric hatchback at a base price of Rs 47.99 lakh.
Design
The new MG4 EV is based on the company’s Modular Scalable Platform (MSP), which has the same dimensions as the company’s ZS EV models. The electric hatchback will measure 4287 mm in length, 1836 mm in width, and 1504 mm in height; it has a wheelbase of 2705 mm and a ground clearance of 150 mm. In terms of design, the MG4 EV gets an aggressive front fascia that features an active intake grille shutter and LED projector headlamps with LED DRLs. And on the rear, the EV gets arrow-shaped LED tail lights that are connected by a horizontal LED light bar. Furthermore, the MG4 EV might be offered in six different colours: Blue, Black, Orange, White, Grey, and Red. Inside, the MG4 EV comes with notable interior design elements such as a flat bottom steering wheel with mounted controls, a seven-inch digital instrument console, and a 10.25-inch floating infotainment system that is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The new electric hatchback might come equipped with notable features such as 6 airbags, ABS, EBD, ESP, emergency brake assist, driving modes (Eco, Sport, Snow, Custom, Standard), 17-inch alloy wheels, hill assist control, climate control, a 6-way adjustable driver’s seat, and climate control, among others.
Powertrain
The new MG4 EV will be offered in two different battery packs: a 51 kWh pack and a 64 kWh pack. The MG4 EV with a 51 kWh battery pack produces 168 hp and 250 nm of torque. Meanwhile, the MG4 EV with a 64 kWh battery pack produces a power of 200 hp and a torque of 250 Nm. For charging, the EV with a small battery gets fully charged in around 7.5 hours, and for larger battery pack variants, the EV gets fully charged in around 9 hours. On a single charge, the smaller battery-pack EV models provide a range of 350 km, and the larger battery-pack EV models provide a range of 452 km.
