Nissan’s new compact SUV – Magnite revealed.
The production model of this new compact SUV has finally made its global debut in India. It is expected to launch in January 2021 in India. Maruti Vitara Brezza, Hyundai Venue, and newly-launched Kia Sonet will be competing with this new Magnite as soon as it launches.
The Nissan Magnite is based on the company’s CMF-A+ platform, it will come with a new 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with both manual and CVT automatic transmission options for the Indian market. Specifications are yet to be revealed but it is expected to develop around 100PS and 160Nm.
The new Magnite has been offered with an attractive front trapezoid-shaped grille, sleek headlight units, eye-catchy inverted boomerang-shaped DRLs, floating back roofline, LED lights, and large wheel arches, bi-projector LED headlights. The front end further gets a L-shaped LED DRLs, faux skid plates, a sculpted bonnet, and LED fog lamps.
Nissan Magnite gets tons of new-gen features like an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a segment-first feature seen in BMWs. Other highlights includes automatic climate control, a wireless phone charger, connected car tech, a 7-inch colour digital instrument cluster, cruise control, and keyless entry with push-button start.
In terms of safety features equipped on Magnite are dual airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, a first-in-class 360-degree camera, electronic stability control, Vehicle Dynamics Control (VDC) for safer manoeuvering in tight spaces, Hill Start Assist (HAS), Traction Control, and Anti-Roll bar.
