Nokia 6: Price, Specs and Availability

Paramount Electronics, the official distributor of Nokia smartphones in Nepal recently launched their mid their smartphone, the Nokia 6 here. The phone which is priced at Rs 27,500 packs some interesting hardware and software choices. Let us take a deeper look at the phone and see what it offers for that price.

The Nokia 6 packs a 5.5 inch Full HD IPS display with a pixel density of 401PPI. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and is edged out by a 2.5D glass. Encased in a metallic shell with chamfered edges, the phone looks and feels very premium. Under the hood, the Nokia 6 packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor along with the Adreno 505 GPU. The processor is backed by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The internal memory can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The phone also does supports dual sim-cards but only at the expense of the micro-sd card slot.

In the camera department, the Nokia 6 packs a f/2.0 16MP rear camera along with a dual-tone LED flash. The phone also has a f/2.0 8MP front camera for all your selfies. The Nokia 6 also comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner embedded into its home key. Other sensors include an accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor and a gyroscope. Software-wise, the phone runs almost a stock version of Android 7.1.1 Nougat. And finally powering this device all up is a 3000mAh non-user removable battery. This will be enough to get users a full day worth of battery life without any issues.

The Nokia 6 is available in the major mobile stores around Pako, New Road in the Matt Black color option. The phone is supposed to be a resurrection of Nokia, as a smartphone brand, but it falls short of that proposition. It is a good smartphone but not the best smartphone in that price range of around Rs 30,000.
