Ola electric scooter set to debut in Nepal
The Ola electric scooter is set to debut in Nepal at the upcoming NADA EV Expo. The Indian manufactured e-scooter will be offered in two variants: the S1 and the S1 pro. The top variant–the S1 pro–gets a larger battery capacity, extra range, and additional convenience features than the base variant–the S1.
Design
The Ola e-scooters get a simple and fluid design. The e-scooter’s front fascia features two projector headlamps with DRLs and sleek LED turn indicators. At the rear, the scooter gets LED tail lights and a grab rail. The e-scooter comes with a flat unibody seat and spacious storage of 36-litre. Furthermore, the scooter will be offered in ten different colours: Red, Yellow, Black, White, Sky Blue, Grey, Satin Blue, Pink, Gold, and Silver.
The e-scooter comes equipped with a massive TFT touchscreen display and 3GB RAM, an octa-core processor, WiFi, 4G connectivity, geo-fencing, and Bluetooth features. The S1 comes with three riding modes: Eco, Normal, and Sport; and the S1 pro model gets an additional Hyper mode.
The e-scooter’s other notable features are its side-stand alert, electric start, reverse mode, electronic steering control lock, hill-hold function, remote boot lock/unlock, and cruise control (only S1 pro).
Powertrain
The e-scooter is offered in two battery capacities depending on the variant.
The S1 is powered by a 3 kWh battery– paired with an 8.5 kW motor–that provides a range of 128 km.The S1 gets fully-charged in 5 hours via a home charger. The e-scooter can accelerate from 0-40 kmph in 3.8 seconds and its top speed is 95 kmph.
And the S1 pro is powered by a 4kWh battery which is paired with an 8.5 kW motor that provides a range of 170 km. The e-scooter gets fully-charged in 6.5 hours via a home charger. The S1 pro can go from 0-40 kmph within 2.9 seconds and its top speed is 116 kmph.

Ola S1 series price in Nepal
The Ola S1 series–the S1 and the S1 pro– scooters are priced at INR 1 lakh and INR 1.40 lakh, respectively, in India. The official distributors of Nepal, CG Motors, haven’t hinted anything regarding its launch. However, if it is launched here, Nepalis can expect it to cost around Rs 3.5 lakh.
