OnePlus 9 Flagship with Hasselblad Cameras Launched in Nepal
The Chinese tech giant OnePlus launched its latest flagship OnePlus 9 series which incorporates a revamped camera system—Hasselblad Camera for Mobile—co-developed with the reputed camera manufacturer Hasselblad. The firm also announced the fast wireless charging technology to bring a better charging experience and its first connected wearable for the global market.
Overview
OnePlus claims the OnePlus 9 series to be the ‘biggest leap forward in camera quality’ made successful by a long-term partnership with the legendary camera manufacturer Hasselblad, who have managed to capture the biggest moments experienced in mankind, for instance, the man’s first step on the moon. The new camera system installed by the joint venture will use a new standard for smartphone color performance—Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad—premium hardware for improved camera quality which is claimed to mark a milestone in modern technology.
Now, the OnePlus 9 flagship phone is officially launched in Nepal and we will be focusing on its specs, features, and price.
Design
The OnePlus 9 follows the brand’s vision to deliver a burdenless design along with an integrated, unified, and stylish look and feel. The overall design is generic with its rounded polycarbonate plastic shell and plastic rails and they look shiny and kind of reflect metal vibe which they are not. The device follows a curved design on the back and the lightweight helps to deliver a comfortable feel on the hand. The back is also home to a triple camera setup. Meanwhile, the front of the device houses a left-aligned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. The phone is available in three color options – Stellar Black, Arctic Sky, and Winter Mist.

Display
Along with thin bezels, the device boasts a 6.55-inch FHD+ flat AMOLED panel for display that is nearly the same size as the pro and it has a 120Hz refresh rate—not as attentive as the Pro. The display goes right up to the edge so watching videos should be perfect. The smartphone offers a screen resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels accompanied by a pixel density of 402ppi. The device features a bezel-less punch-hole display protected by a sturdy Corning Gorilla Glass.
Camera
The triple camera system allows experiencing the professional-level photography experience with an exceptional image just from a smartphone. The ultra-wide 50MP camera is used with a 1/1.56″ Sony IMX766 sensor ensuring a high-quality image. The 48MP main camera comes with a custom-designed 1/1.43″ Sony IMX689 sensor, 2×2 OCL, 12-bit RAW, dual native ISO, and 3-HDR delivering an excellent image along with a supporting 2MP monochrome sensor.

Performance
The OnePlus 9 comes with a similar chipset to that of the Pro version: the latest Snapdragon 888 chipset. It is paired up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage. The operating system will come as an OxygenOS 11 (based on Android 11) for the OnePlus 9
Battery
The battery and the charging are shared with the OnePlus 9’s pro model i.e. 4,500mAh battery and the 65W fast charging option and convenient wireless charging that juices up the battery ridiculously—charge from 1-100% in just 29 minutes. An improved dual-cell design helps to reduce internal resistance and heating while charging and increase the charging speed. Meanwhile, the speaker setup is just as loud as the 9 Pro.
