Oppo A71 (2018) launched in China

Oppo, in an event in China, has launched their latest mid-tier smartphone, the Oppo A71 (2018). As the name suggests, the phone is the follow up to the original Oppo A71 which was launched in 2017. So what does the new and improved smartphone from Oppo has to offer for a, now, tagged price of $179? Well, let’s take a closer look at the phone and find out for ourselves.

The Oppo A71 (2018) packs a 5.2 inch HD IPS display with a pixel density of 282PPI. The display is edged out by a 2.5D glass giving users a seamless experience. Encased in a metallic shell, the phone looks and feels very premium. Under the hood, the Oppo A71 (2018) packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor along with the Adreno 506 GPU. The processor is backed by, now, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The internal memory can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The phone also does support dual nano sim-cards and is 4G capable.

In the camera department, the Oppo A71 (2018) packs a f/2.2 13MP rear camera along with a LED flash. The phone also has a f/2.4 5MP front camera, backed by A.I. beautification technology, for all your selfies. The A71 (2018), however, doesn’t come equipped with a fingerprint scanner which in our frank opinion is a huge letdown. That said, the phone does come with other necessary sensors like an accelerometer, compass, and a proximity sensor. Software-wise, the phone runs Color OS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. And finally powering this device all up is a 3000mAh non-user removable battery. This coupled with the HD display will be enough to get users a full day worth of battery life without any issues.

The Oppo A71, without a doubt, will soon be available for you to purchase here in Nepal. And when it does, we will make sure to inform you guys. Until then keep reading Hamrobazaar Blog!
