Patent Images of new Suzuki “Intruder 250” revealed

The Japanese two-wheeler manufacturer Suzuki was expected to unveil a bigger Suzuki Intruder 250 model at the Auto Expo 2020. However, the patent images of the upcoming Suzuki Intruder 250 have been leaked, which reveals a new exhaust system. Patent images usually shows extremely simple drawings of product, but however we can see newly revamped dual-outlet muffler design.

The exhaust system has a single header pipe with a catalytic converter to comply with the emission norms. The dual barrel setup remains similar.

The new Intruder is said to be powered by the same 249cc, single-cylinder, fuel injected, oil cooled BS6 engine. It will be producing 26.5 PS of power @ 9300 RPM and 22.2 Nm of torque @ 7300 RPM. Suzuki might tune the engine differently for the Intruder. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheel via a 6-speed gearbox.

The patent images also suggest that the design of the Suzuki Intruder 250 is likely to share stylings from the 155cc model. Features like LED tail-lamp, LED DRLs and others will be sourced from the 155cc Intruder. Besides that it is expected to come with a new set of full- LED headlamps, digital instrument console and dual channel ABS.

The exact launch date of the new Suzuki Intruder 250 is yet to be announced. We believe that the new motorcycle could be launched in the end of 2020 or early 2021.
