The Poco F3 GT, a gaming-centric smartphone by Poco, has finally made its way to Nepal. The company’s new gaming phone is the first device in the portfolio to get trigger buttons for actual tactile feedback. Now, let’s get to know the details of the Poco F3 GT and its price in Nepal.
Poco F3 GT overview
The Poco F3 GT gets a sturdy look with aesthetics that match a gaming-focused device. The phone has a metal frame along with a Gorilla Glass protection front and back. The front, with a minimal bezel on all sides, gets a punch-hole cutout display for the selfie camera. The rea, on the other hand, has been kept busy with graphics such as Poco branding, fine lines running through the panel, rear camera setup (with ‘freezing’ and ‘speediest’ lettering), and lightning icon beside the camera.
The gaming-centric device, on its right side, gets two physical trigger buttons that are operated through a slider mounted near the buttons–the power button is between the trigger buttons. The phone’s left part has dents and features a microphone and volume rockers. The company has integrated three-level of curves– radial, square, and concave bevels– for comfortable grip. The bottom has a USB Type-C, speaker grille, Simcard tray, and microphone. Meanwhile, the top section has a noise-cancelling microphone, IR blaster, and a speaker grille.
The F3 GT boasts a 6.67-inch OLED panel that has a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and supports HDR10+ content. The screen has a refresh rate of 120 Hz. When using the onboard shoulder buttons, the touch sampling rate can reach 480Hz. Moving ahead, you’ll find a 10-bit display panel capable of displaying over 1 billion colours, and the phone boasts 100 per cent DCI-P3 coverage. The phone also has DC dimming and sunlight screen support.
For the camera department, the F3 GT packs a triple camera setup at the back that has a tactical RGB glow, which enhances the gaming character of the device. Unlike other phones, the F3 GT does not have a camera bump. The phone has a 64MP primary sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, an 8MP ultrawide sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, and a 2MP macro unit with an aperture of f/2.4. The front punch-hole cutout houses a 16MP sensor for selfies.
Powering the Poco F3 GT is a flagship-level MediaTek Dimensity 1200 5G SoC chipset that has 4 x Cortex-A78 and 4 x Cortex-A55 CPU cores. For GPU, it has Mali-G77 MC9, and the operating system is Android 11, MIUI 12.5 for Poco. It is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The device is offered with an L-shaped charging cable for gaming compatibility. With a 5,065mAh battery pack and support of 67W fast charging, the phone is set to deliver impressive performance for gamers. The charger, says the company, will charge the battery from 0-50% in just 15 minutes. Another impressive feature of the device is its Hi-Res certified dual speakers with Dolby Atmos along with a triple mic setup, and an improved X-linear vibration motor.
