Launching Soon: Poco X3 Pro with 5160mAh Battery and Snapdragon 860 Chipset

Xiaomi’s move to bring mid-range smartphones under the sub-brand ‘Poco’ has proved to be a massive hit. Initially released in 2018 with its flagship Poco F1, the model instantly became the best selling smartphone sold online in India. The brand is mildly referred to as the “flagship killer” for offering models with high-end specifications at an affordable price. Following the substantial growth of the brand with numerous products, a model pulled out of the firm’s sleeves is ready to launch in Nepal. The latest entry of the brand “Poco X3 Pro” which was released during the month of March, is now all geared up to make its way to Nepal.

Overview

The latest addition to Poco’s product portfolio comes as a value for money model with a water-resistance system for the users to get along in their daily life at an ease. The device comes with a mid-range model with all the essential features like a robust battery, a top-of-the-line processor, full connectivity, and a decent set of cameras. Moreover, the device is considered to be one of the best options for mobile gaming within its segment due to the refresh rate and the response of its panel.

Design

The overall design of the all-new Poco X3 Pro is sleek and easy on the hand with its lightweight. Upfront, the top of the screen houses a selfie camera in a bezel-less punch-hole display centrally. While the back has been kept quite busy with distinctive stripe accents, a massive Poco logo, and a unique horizontal camera setup. The design of the device seems to be quite identical to its predecessor. The back and the frame are made up of plastic with a glossy finish. The fingerprint scanner is fixed at a side-mounted power button.

Display

As per the design, the Poco X3 Pro sports a 6.67-inch full-HD+ LCD screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Meanwhile, the device also supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and has an 84.6% screen-to-body ratio. The display is pretty similar to its younger sibling Poco X3 but the sequel does get Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for protection. The device further delivers 1080 x 2400 pixels screen resolution along with a top-graded 395ppi pixel density. Similarly, the brightness tops at 460 nits with the slider and 530 nits in auto mode in a brighter environment.

Performance and Battery

The most essential upgrade from Poco X3 Pro’s predecessor is the new flagship grade Octa-core (1×2.96 GHz Kryo 485 Gold & 3×2.42 GHz Kryo 485 Gold & 4×1.78 GHz Kryo 485 Silver) Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 built on a 7 nm process. The Poco X3 Pro runs Android 11 out-of-the-box with MIUI 12 on top so that users have a clutter-free UI. It also comes with an adequate cooling system for a longer period of mobile gaming. The device will be available in two variants – 6GB of RAM + 128GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM + 256GB of internal storage. Moreover, there is a Nano-Hybrid SIM slot for a microSD card to extend the memory up to 512GB.
