Realme 8 5G Introduced with Super Slim Design and a Massive 5000mAh Battery
The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, Realme have introduced their latest model Realme 8 5G in the Indian market. The latest model in the firm’s product lineup comes as an upgrade for Realme 8 which was launched a month ago in India. The launch of Realme 8 5G on Thursday, April 22 followed the debut of the model in Thailand held a day before. However, both the models Realme 8 and Realme 8 5G is not yet available in Nepal. Until then, let’s get to know the detailed information about the all-new Realme 8 5G.
Overview
The firm has achieved multiple titles in India since its first Realme 1 release in 2018—India’s first 64MP smartphone, India’s fastest-charging smartphone, and India’s first 5G smartphone. The latest model Realme 8 5G from the brand also offers 5G technology and a massive battery pack allowing to last entertainment for hours. Furthermore, the device gets Dimensity 700 5G Processor and 90Hz Ultra Smooth Display to enhance the user’s experience.
Design
The design of the Realme 8 5G seems fascinating as the rear of the device uses a racing design concept, claimed by the company which proves as a brilliant high-gloss indium plating process and lenticular pattern process to achieve a premium mirror effect to deliver a sense of light. The Realme 8 5G measures 162.50 x 74.80 x 8.50mm (height x width x thickness) and weighs 185.00 grams making the user experience more convenient. Display
The Realme 8 5G features a 6.5-inch full-HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and a refresh rate of 90Hz. The device comes protected by a Dragontrail Glass and has a peak brightness of 600 nits. The FHD+ resolution of the device stands at 1,080 x 2,400 pixels and the firm claims a screen-to-body ratio is 90.5%. As the device comes with an LCD panel, the fingerprint scanner is featured on the side of the device.
Processor
The Realme 8 5G is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor with a refresh rate of 90Hz enabling an ultra-smooth experience performance. The firm promises the advanced 7nm process of the Dimensity 700 5G processor to deliver benefits such as lower power consumption, less heat, and more powerful performance. The device runs Realme UI 2.0 and is based on Android 11 paired with either 4GB RAM or 8GB RAM along with ARM Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Both variants of the device get a UFS 2.1 internal storage of 128GB which can be further extended to 1TB as it comes with a dedicated slot for an external MicroSD card. The firm has also initiated a creative Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE) technology with the latest device which uses the storage memory (ROM) to act as RAM when required.

Camera
The triple rear camera setup houses a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 primary sensor with an f/1.8 lens, along with a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 portrait lens and a 2-megapixel tertiary sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens. The main camera has been compromised by the firm as the Realme 8 rather features a 64MP primary camera. Meanwhile, the selfie shooter comes as a 16MP camera sensor with an aperture of f/2.1. The rear camera features Nightscape, 48M Mode, Pro Mode, AI Scan, LED Flash, Autofocus, ISO control, Digital zoom, Auto Flash, Continuous shooting, HDR mode, and Super Macro while the front comes with Portrait, Nightscape, Timelapse, among others.

Battery
The Realme 8 5G has a robust 5000mAh Li-ion non-replaceable battery which is compatible with 18W Fast Charging. The firm claims with super power-saving mode, the device can be on standby for 34.2 hours on 5% power.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v5.1, GPS/ A-GPS, and a USB Type-C port. Sensors on board include an accelerometer, ambient light, magnetometer, and proximity sensor.
