Realme Watch 2 Launched with 90 Sports Modes and 100+ Watch Faces
Realme launched its latest model of the smartwatch in Malaysia extending its product portfolio. The Realme Watch 2 launched as a true successor to the original launch of the first generation Realme Watch while the brand has two more models under its Watch S series. The successor comes with substantial improvements in design, features, and battery among others. The Realme Watch 2 will also be able to serve control over Realme AIoT devices, including Realme Buds Air, Realme Buds Q, Bluetooth Speakers, light bulbs, and home appliances.
Design
Similar to that of its predecessor, the all-new Realme Watch 2 comes with a square design on the dial and noticeable bezels on the screen that seems to be quite wide. The second-generation Realme watch brings a familiar 1.4-inch touchscreen IPS LCD with 320×320 pixel resolution and up to 600 nits of brightness. For enhanced protection, the firm has brought the new Watch 2 with a Gorilla Glass 3 which should protect the panel in case of any misfortune. The firm has also managed to cut off the brand logo upfront and it does look better this time; however, the ‘Dare To Leap’ branding does feature on the strap of the watch. The overall looks of the watch are pretty decent and compared to its first-generation version, it now comes in a bit narrow and a thick shape. That brings us to the dimension of the watch which measures 35.7 x 25.8 x 12.2 mm.

Features
As for the button, a single one is present on the right side of the watch as the rest of it work with a touch of a finger itself. The watch is also claimed to be IP68 water/dust resistant so you don’t have to hurry to cover your watch during light rain. However, the company did mention avoiding the Realme Watch during the shower and whilst swimming. The weight, on the other hand, is just 2 weighs 38 grams and should feel comfortable while on the go. The firm on the other hand has brought 100 watch faces to allow users to match their style. The watch faces also have an option of live faces on the offer for its users.
Moving forward to the sports mode, the Watch 2 brings a wide variety of 14 different sports modes which could be extended to 90 sports mode, if users choose an OTA upgrade. The sports modes of the wearable include options such as including basketball, boxing, dancing, golf, hiking, indoor cycling, outdoor running, table tennis, and yoga, among others. Additionally, the Realme Watch 2 supports Smart AIoT control that makes using other Realme devices easier just by the touch of the smartwatch—such as smart lights, ACs as well as devices like Bluetooth speakers, Realme Buds Air, and Realme buds Q series.
The wearable is also equipped with an “upgraded, professional-level” PPG sensor that continuously monitors heart rate. According to the firm, the Realme Watch 2 triggers as the user’s heart rate gets high and sends an alert. Additional features of the Watch 2 includes SpO2 monitor, Sleep Monitor features, Hydration Reminder, Sedentary Reminder, Camera Control and Mediation Assistant. Connectivity options include Bluetooth v5, and the watch is compatible with Android (Android 5.0 and above) as well as iOS (iOS 11 and above).

Battery
The significant upgrade on the Realme Watch 2 remains to be its massive 315mAh battery pack that claimed by the company will last for 12 days of run time on a single charge. The massive battery might be the reason for the offered thickness of the wearable. The charger offered with the Realme Watch 2 will be a magnetic charger as usual.
