Redesigned 2021 KTM 125 Duke Launched in India, Expected to be Launched in Nepal Next Year
The redesigned model of 2021 KTM 125 Duke has been launched in India with the pricing of INR 1.5 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The all-new KTM 125 Duke gets cosmetic upgrades inspired by the previous models, 200, 250, and the 390 KTM Duke. As it gets completely new outlooks, the bodywork, headlight, and digital instrument console are shared with the 200 KTM Duke.
“Spawned from the 1290 beast itself and packed full of Duke attitude, the KTM 125 DUKE exudes qualities never seen in this category before. The ultra-lightweight trellis frame and subframe provide razor-sharp control, and the new styling is an absolute head turner,” said Sumeet Narang, President (Probiking), Bajaj Auto Ltd. “The launch of KTM 125 DUKE in late 2018 had been a point of inflection for KTM’s stronghold amongst the young biking enthusiasts in India. Upgrading that model with this new all capable entry-level KTM is another testimony of the brand’s commitment to bringing pure performance to its valued customers.”

The 125 Duke’s powertrain gets a BS6-compliant 124cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with 14 bhp and 12Nm of peak torque mated to a 6-speed transmission. The addition to the upgrade includes an increment in fuel tank capacity from 10.5 liters to 13.4 liters, 7 kg weight from 159 kg, and a lifted seat from 818mm to 822mm.
The 125 Duke has two color options: Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.

Moving on to the specification of the 125 Duke, braking duties are performed by a 300mm disc brake at the front and a 230mm disc brake at the rear supported by a single-channel ABS as standard. With the same brakes, wheels, mono-shock, and USD front fork, the bike does get a new bolt-on rear subframe. The suspension system includes 43mm USD forks at the front and a mono-shock setup at the rear.
Following the launch in India, we hope that the new 2021 KTM 125 Duke to be soon in Nepal. As per the reports, it is expected that Hansraj Hulaschand & Co. Pvt. Ltd, an authorized distributor of KTM bikes in Nepal will launch this baby in 2021 in the Nepalese market.
