Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6 launched at Rs 4.99 lakh in Nepal

Alpha Automotive, the authorised distributor of Royal Enfield motorcycles in Nepal, has finally launched the much-anticipated bike—the Royal Enfield Classic 350 BS6—in the Nepali market. The all-new Royal Enfield Classic 350 comes with new design elements, an enhanced powertrain, and a new chassis. The company has offered the new bike at an introductory price of Rs 4.99 lakh.

Design and features

The new Classic 350 takes its design inspiration from the post-war G2 model. The front fascia features a new halogen headlamp with the signature pilot lights, and on the rear, the bike gets a new tail lamp with a reflector. Similarly, the Classic 350 also comes with new handlebars and wider soft-foam cushioning seats to offer comfortable riding. Furthermore, the bike is offered in six different colours: Halcyon Green, Sage Green, Halcyon Grey, Redditch Grey, Redditch Red, and Halcyon Black.

The Classic 350 comes equipped with a new semi-digital instrument console: the digital part gets fuel gauge, odometer, and tripmeter; and the analog section gets a speedometer. Other notable features are its LED units, front disc brake, and 13-litre fuel tank capacity, among others.

Powertrain

The all-new Classic 350 gets a new powertrain where the 346 cc UCE engine is replaced by the new ‘J-Platform’ 349 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, SOHC, EFI engine. The engine–mated to a five-speed gearbox–generates a peak power of 20.19 hp at 6100 rpm and a peak torque of 27 Nm at 4000 rpm. The bike comes with a 13-litre fuel tank that provides a mileage of 35 kmpl, according to the company.

Chassis

The Classic 350’s suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front, and on the rear, the scooter gets a unit swing. As for brakes, the bike gets a single-disc brake at the front, and on the rear, the bike gets a drum brake.
