Samsung Galaxy A8+ 2018 to launch soon in Nepal

IMS Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor of Samsung products in Nepal, is gearing up to launch their latest premium mid-range smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy A8+ 2018. Like the name implies, the phone is the follow to last years Galaxy A8+. So what are the things the phone brings to the table, compared to its predecessor, for an estimated price of around Rs 65,000? Well, let’s take a deeper look at the phone and find out for ourselves.

The Samsung Galaxy A8+ 2018 packs a 6.0 inch Full HD (1080*2160) AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 18.5:9 and a pixel density of 401PPI. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass (unspecified) and is edged out by a 2.5D glass.  The A8+ 2018 comes encased in an aluminum chassis with a glass back which not only looks good but also feels premium to the touch. Under the hood, the phone packs an octa-core Exynos 7885 processor along with the Mali-G71 GPU. The processor is backed by 4/6GB of RAM and 32/64GB of internal storage respectively. The phone also supports dual-sim cards and is 4G capable. And all this goodness comes encased in a body that is IP68 rated for dust and water resistant.

In the camera side of things, the Samsung Galaxy A8+ 2018 packs a f/1.7 12MP rear camera accompanied by a LED flash. The phone, at the front, packs a dual-camera set up made by a f/1.9 16MP and 8MP sensors. Moving on, at the software front, the phone runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with Samsung’s own custom skin, Samsung Experience overlaid on top of it. The phone also comes with a fingerprint scanner embedded into its back panel. Other sensors include an accelerometer, proximity, compass, and a gyroscope. And finally, powering the device all up is a 3500mAh non-user removable battery. This will be more than enough to get users through a day of heavy usage on a single charge without any issues.
