Samsung, the South-Korean tech giant, has launched their latest flagship- the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus at MWC 2017. The phone brings a ton of changes over its predecessor, the Galaxy S8 Plus, like a variable aperture dual-camera, powerful specs and, a better-positioned fingerprint scanner. These all included, here are all the things the phone brings to the table for a price of $840.
The Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus is a beast of a smartphone with its octa-core Qualcomm MSM8998 Snapdragon 845 processor along with the Adreno 630 GPU. This processor is backed by 6GB of RAM and 128/256GB of internal memory. Flaunting all the processing power is a 6.2-inch Quad-HD S-AMOLED display with an 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The panel is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is bordered by a sleek edge display.
Encasing all the internals of the phone is a premium metal and glass build which makes the phone look and feel premium. If that was not enough, the phone is rated IP68 for dust and water resistance. Moving on, at the camera side of things, the S9 Plus packs a dual-camera set up made by two 12MP sensor with the main camera flaunting a variable aperture. It also comes with a f/1.7 8MP front camera for all your selfies. And justing below the rear camera is a fingerprint scanner! Finally, the sensor is placed ergonomically over its predecessor the Galaxy S8.
In the software department, the Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus runs Samsung Experience UI based on Android 8.0 Oreo. And finally, powering this device all up is a 3500mAh non-user removable battery. This will be more than enough to get users through a day of usage on a single charge. And if the battery does run out there is the inclusion of Quick Charge 3.0 and Qi-wireless charging.
