Seltos Brings Expectation for KIA Motors to Flag in Nepalese Market

In a short period of time, KIA has managed to win the hearts of the Nepalese market with the release of Seltos and Sonet. Soon after the Korean automakers introduced the models in India, the influence in Nepal has risen as well. Entered in Nepal with Seltos about a year ago and with the most recent launch of Sonet, the brand has managed to become one of the most popular choices among Nepalese buyer.

Kia Motors has sold over 1000 units of the Seltos in the Nepalese market resulting in to jump to the number three position in Nepal, said Continental Trading Enterprises, the sole authorized distributor of Kia Motors in Nepal, in a press statement. Additionally, as per the company, more than 250 units of Sonet have been sold since its launch in November. The success of the models in the country has led to raising certain expectations for the company in the upcoming future in the Nepalese market.

Available in two engine configurations- 1.5-liter petrol and a 1.5-liter diesel, Seltos has been made available in ten variants by KIA Nepal. The two trims, GT-Line trim is priced between Rs 71.90 Lakhs- 76.90 Lakhs whereas, Tech-Line trim is priced from Rs. 49.90 lakhs to Rs. 66.90 lakhs. Meanwhile, Sonet comes with 4 variants. There is the base HTE variant with a 1.2-liter petrol engine priced at Rs. 35.90 lakhs, HTX variant at Rs. 47.90 lakhs, HTK+ AT at Rs. 49.90 lakhs, and the top end GTX+ variant at Rs. 57.90 lakhs- all three powered by a 1.5-liter diesel engine.
