Suzuki Jimny a fourth gen mini SUV might make its way on Indian Expo 2020

Suzuki had unveiled the fourth-gen Jimny for the Japanese market few months ago and the new mini SUV from the Indo-Japanese carmaker will be the successor to the aging their previous Gypsy. It looks quirky and old-school, but is packing some properly modern equipment.

Maruti Suzuki’s new mini SUV will be designed and developed to appeal the rural market. It was reported that the new Suzuki Jimny might be getting a 1.2L petrol engine, sourced from the Swift hatchback. A smaller capacity 1.0L petrol engine that also does duty on the Alto K10 might also be on offer

The Jimny 2020 is equipped with a projector headlamps, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control as well as cruise control.

The off roading capability hasn’t been avoided, so it still runs a tried and tested body on frame setup, with a three-link rigid suspension. Besides that it comes with the high ground clearance and negligible overhangs, and the Jimny promises to be every bit the mountain goat as the gypsy. As a additional features it includes satellite navigation, dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, lane departure warning, vehicle stability control, reverse parking camera, Isofix child seat mounts and brake enabled limited slip differential system.
As expected to appear on 2020 Indian Expo we hereby wait for the futher details to be unveiled.
