Suzuki Jimny, Unveiling Soon!
The new Suzuki Jimny has seen a long wait, but we finally have a concrete information that the new Jimny could be unveiled within the first half of 2018, while the trial production of the SUV has already begun, the Japanese launch will take place in the second half of 2018.
The next-generation Jimny is claimed to be longer than the outgoing model. In fact, the short wheelbase model will be longer, while the current car is 3.69m in length, the new-gen Jimny will measure 3.91m. The global-spec Suzuki Jimny will come in three engine options – a 660cc turbocharged petrol, 1.0-litre Boosterjet petrol and a 1.2-litre Dualjet petrol. Both manual and automatic versions of the SUV will be on offer. The new model will continue to feature the updated version of ladder-frame chassis. Suzuki has modified this platform to accommodate new design and powertrain. It will also be equipped with Suzuki’s advanced AllGRIP ‘pro’ all-wheel-drive system.
