Tata launches 5 CNG-powered trucks in India
Tata Motors has launched five CNG-powered trucks in India. Among the newly launched models is the country’s first CNG-powered truck–the Signa–in the M&HCV (Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle) segment. The vehicle comes with Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), new engine option, and upgraded convenience features. The company has also introduced seven new I&LCV (Intermediate & Light Commercial Vehicle) tippers and trucks.
The company’s M&HCV and I&LCV range of trucks comes equipped with next-gen digital solutions for optimal fleet management–Fleet Edge. Under the name Sampoorna Seva, the company provides a variety of post-purchase services that includes extended warranties, on-site support, uptime guarantees, breakdown assistance, and insurance and accidental repair.
Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV)
Theall-new Signa comes in two variants–at 19 tonnes and 28 tonnes–depending on the vehicle’s GVW. The new truck is powered by a 5.7-litre SGI engine that generates a maximum power of 180 hp and a maximum torque of 650Nm.

The new commercial truck comes with notable new features such as a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls and Bluetooth connectivity, 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, new instrument cluster, and easy access switch panel.

Moreover, the Prima models get Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology such as Collision Mitigation System (CMS), Driver Monitoring System (DMS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), and Lane Departure Warning System (LDWS).
Intermediate & Light Commercial Vehicle (I&LCV)

The company has also introduced seven new I&LCV (Intermediate & Light Commercial Vehicle) tippers and trucks–the LPK610, the LPT 709g XD, the SK 710, the Ultra T.12g, the Ultra K.14, the LPT 1512g, and the Ultra T.16 Cx.
The vehicles are offered in a GVW of between 4-18 tonnes, a variety of engine options, and cabin customisation option. The new fuel-efficient diesel and CNG trucks and tippers in the FE-series provide better application-oriented solutions. The vehicles also come equipped with new technological advancements such as optimised drivelines, low viscous rear axle oil, e-viscous radiator fan, gearshift advisor, and low rolling resistance tyres.
