Tata launches the new Tigor.ev with better range and premium features in India

Tata Motors has launched its updated electric sedan in India–the Tigor.ev–with extended range and exclusive features. The updated EV comes with a 26 kW IP67-rated battery and provides an enhanced ARAI range of 315 km (around 9 km more). The new Tigor.ev is offered in four variants: XE, XT, XZ, and XZ+ LUX–at a starting price of INR 12.19 lakh.

Design and features 

The updated Tigor.ev gets the same design as the outgoing models. The EV comes with blue accents (on the headlamps, fog lights, front bumper, seats, and vents), projector headlamps, LED DRLs, a two-tone dashboard, hyperstyle wheels, and a piano black roof.

The new Tiago.ev comes equipped with new notable features such as cruise control, multi-mode regeneration, Zconnect technology, smartwatch connectivity, iTPMS,a tyre puncture repair kit, leatherette upholstery in the cabin, rain sensing wipers, and auto headlamps, among others. 

Furthermore, the existing Tigor.ev users will also get new features such as multi-mode regeneration, iTPMS, a tyre puncture repair kit, and smartphone connectivity via software updates.  

Powertrain

The new Tigor.ev is powered by the same 26 kW IP67-rated battery pack–mated to a PSMS–that is capable of producing a peak power of 75 hp and a peak torque of 170 Nm. The electric sedan gets charged from 0-80% in 60 minutes, and on a single charge, it provides an ARAI range of 315 km. Furthermore, the company claims the car accelerates from 0-60 kmph in 5.7 seconds. 

Tata Tigor EV price in Nepal 

The updated Tata Tigor EV has been launched in India at a base price of INR 12.19 lakh. There is no news regarding its launch yet, but fans can expect it to start at Rs 31 lakh.
