Tata Motors has launched its much-awaited EV–the Nexon EV Max–in the Nepalese market. The new Nexon EV Max adopts the same design elements as the regular Nexon EV models; however, it comes with new features and a 40 kWh lithium-ion battery pack that will provide an ARAI-certified range of 437 km (which is 125 km more than the standard Nexon EV models). The company has offered its new EV at an introductory price of Rs 46.49 lakh.
The new Nexon EV Max gets the same design as the standard Nexon EV models. The EV comes with notable design elements such as dual-tone body colour, projector headlamps with tri-arrow DRLs, 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, and EV badging, among others. Furthermore, the EV is offered in three different colours: Intensi-Teal, Pristine White, and Daytona Grey.
Inside, the Nexon EV Max gets a granite black and Makarana beige-themed interior and leather-upholstered seats. The dashboard will feature a three-spoke steering wheel with mounted controls, a 7-inch TFT display digital instrument console, and a 7-inch infotainment system that is compatible with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. And on top, the EV will get an electric sunroof.
The Nexon EV Max’s powertrain is based on the company’s Ziptron technology. The EV is powered by the 40 kWh lithium-ion battery pack–mated to a 98.4 kW Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM)–that provides an ARAI-certified range of 437 km. For charging, the EV gets charged from 0-100% via a 3.3 kWh charger in around 15-16 hours, and via a 7.2 kWh charger, the EV gets fully charged in around 6.5 hours. Furthermore, the e-SUV is also be compatible with a 50 kWh fast charger that charges the EV from 0-80% in around 56 minutes.

The new EV comes with additional updated features than the standard Nexon models such as indirect Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), cruise control, multi-mode regenerative braking system, Harman infotainment system, auto-dimming IRVM, ESP with i-VBAC, hill hold and hill descent control, and disc brakes on all wheels, among others. Other notable features are its fully automatic temperature control, dual airbags, remote central lock, ABS with EBD and stability control, smart key with push-button start, rain-sensing wipers, reverse parking assist, riding modes, and USB charging port, among others.

Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd, the sole distributor of Tata automobiles of Nepal, has launched the Nexon EV Max in three colour options: Intensi-Teal, Pristine White, and Daytona Grey–at an introductory price of Rs 46.49 lakh, and upto 80% financing options is also available for the interested buyers. The EV serve as a rival to the Hyundai Kona EV and the MG ZS EV.
