Tata Tiago EV soon to be launched in Nepal
Following the launch of the Tiago EV in India, Sipradi Trading Pvt. Ltd–the sole distributor of Tata vehicles in Nepal–is readying to launch the all-new Tiago EV in Nepal. The Tiago EV is based on the latest ICE-powered Tiago and it gets the brand’s Ziptron technology.
Design

The Tiago.ev inherits the design elements of its facelifted ICE-powered Tiago model. However, the EV’s front fascia features a refreshed grille with .EV badge that extends to the projector headlamps with DRLs. The EV comes with dual-coloured roof and blue highlights throughout the body.

Inside, the EV comes with leather-upholstered seats and the driver’s seat is height adjustable. On the dashboard is a steering wheel with mounted control buttons and behind it is a digital instrument console that displays a speedometer and tachometer dial. For infotainment, the EV comes equipped with a 7-inch HARMAN touchscreen display that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Powertrain
The Tiago EV is offered in two IP67-rated battery options: a 19.2 kWh (for XE and XT) and a 24 kWh (for XT, XZ+, and XZ+ Tech lux).
The 19.2 kWh battery, mated to a 45 kW PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors), produces a maximum torque of 110 Nm and provides a maximum range of 250 km. The EV can be charged from 10-100 % in 5.1 hours via a 3.3 kW home charger and the same amount can be charged in 2.6 hours using a 7.2kW AC charger. In addition, the battery is also compatible with a DC fast charger.
The 24 kWh battery–paired to a 55 kW PMSM (Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motors)–generates a maximum torque of 114 Nm and offers a maximum range of 315 km. The EV takes 6.4 hours to charge from 10-100% via a 3.3 kW home charger and requires 3.6 hours to charge the same amount using a 7.2 kW AC charger. Moreover, the battery is also compatible with a DC fast charger.
Features
The Tiago EV comes equipped with ZConnect technology–integrated with infotainment system and accessible via smartphones–that offers 45 connected car features such as remote AC on/off with temperature setting, remote geo fencing and car location tracking, smart watch connectivity, remote vehicle health diagnostics, real-time charge status, and dynamic charger locator, among others.
The other notable features are its driver and co-driver airbags, driving modes (Sport and City), ABS with EBD, reverse park assist, driving modes, electric adjustable ORVMs, and power windows, among others.
Tata Tiago EV price in Nepal
Tata Motors has launched the Tiago EV in India in four variants: XE, XT XZ+, XZ+ Tech lux–at a starting price of INR 8.49 lakh and it goes up to INR 11.79 lakh. There is no news regarding its pricing yet, but it will be the most affordable EV in Nepal and fans can expect it to come at a base price of Rs 30 lakh.
