“Peugeot 208” awarded as the Car of the Year 2020
This year Peugeot 208 has been awarded as the “Car of the year 2020”. The French hatchback won points for its ‘exceptional choice of powertrains’. To be considered for the Car of the Year award, all candidates have to be new vehicles that are on sale now or before the year’s end in at least five European markets.
The naming of the Car of the Year is a ceremonial opening of the Geneva Motor Show, but with the cancellation of this event due to coronavirus breakout this event was held on a online streams from Palexpo Exhibition Centre.

It is the 6th time Peugeot has won the Car of the Year award first was on 1960 by Peugeot 504, 1988 (Peugeot 405), 2002 (Peugeot 307), 2014 (Peugeot 308), 2017 (Peugeot 3008) and now making its 7th by Peugeot 208 on 2020.
60 members of the Car of the Year jury, coming from 23 European countries, have elected the new Peugeot 208 as The Car of the year 2020. It won the title with a considerable lead on the Tesla Model 3 (2nd) and the Porsche Taycan (3rd), two full-electric cars that took to many points from each other to threaten the Peugeot.

From now on, our customers will be able to choose between the electric PEUGEOT e-208 “Car of the Year” and the PEUGEOT 208 “Car of the Year!”.
