The New Duster
The Renault Duster, the car that has been giving the Hyundai Creta a tough competition has received a more aggressive facelift and has been launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show 2017. The car is sold under the “Dacia” brand in the European market, in fact this car is originally a Dacia- Renault’s Romanian sister brand. The Duster receives an all new front end, with a sleek new front grill and new headlights that look smarter, at the back it receives new tail lights, this time with a crosshair like design rather than an “S” shaped light. The interiors have stepped up their game as well, it’s a massive improvement when you get in the car.
A chunkier dashboard, an infotainment screen, new steering wheel and more AC vents gives off the butch vibe of the car. Also, the facelift has also addressed the alloy wheels, the old duster had alloy wheels that almost came as a turn off for many potential buyers, lacking the most basic styling the wheels looked plain boring. Not this time though, Duster gets an all new set of alloys that are much better looking than the previous model and already better looking than most of its competition. This set of wheels look absolutely fantastic and we hope Renault brings this design to the Indian and Nepalese market. Engine options for Indian and eventually Nepalese market include a 1.5-liter diesel and a 1.5-liter petrol which now also comes with an automatic transmission. Official dates and prices for Indian release has not been confirmed yet but as the car has already come to Frankfurt, we hope it will hit our roads by the next auto show. We will keep you updated.
