Toyota unveils new- gen RAV4 Prime and Mirai for 2019 LA Auto Show
Toyota shows up for 2019 LA Auto Show with new Toyota RAV4 Prime and Mirai fuel cell vehicle. As Mirai was already show casted at 2019 Tokyo Motor Show.
The 5th generation of RAV4 Prime is the fastest and most powerful version of the RAV4 since its outset in 1994. The crossover packs a 2.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol engine that works in conjunction with electric motors and enables to produce 302 PS of power. It can also top up 0-100kmph in just 5.8 second making it more quicker than bigger cars out there hitting the roads.
The Toyota RAV4 Prime also gets an AWD (All-wheel Drive) system to put down all that power efficiently and effectively. With the Rav4 Prime its offer includes 19-inch wheels, paddle shifters, a sunroof, wireless phone charging, ambient lighting, and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The Toyota RAV4 Prime will go on sale in the US by summer 2020. RAV 4 Prime will be available in two variants: SE and XSE.
The next-generation Mirai is comparatively bigger than before and is expected to launch by the end of 2020. Mirai has crop of hybrids and EVs is its FCEV technology. And besides that the powertrain now sends power to the rear wheels instead of the front which is a new change we can seen. There are also upgrades to the hydrogen fuel cell system performance and energy storage, resulting in increased driving range.
Mirai’s interior includes a high-resolution-ed 12.3-inch TFT touchscreen infotainment system, a 14-speaker JBL sound systems and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. The fact that the Mirai is a fuel cell vehicle that doesn’t need to be charged like an EV seems more futuristic and intresting.
For now we can only hope and expect that this amazing Mirai to be available in Nepal in coming future to solve our pollution.
