Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 teased by Mi Nepal

Vatsal Impex Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor of Xiaomi products in Nepal, is gearing up to launch the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2. Mi Nepal has teased a phone which looks a lot like the Mix 2, in a post, on their official Facebook page. After almost a year from the launch of the original Mi Mix, the phone is finally making its way to Nepal. Here is everything the phone has to offer for an expected price of around Rs 70,000.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 packs a 5.99 inch Full HD (1080 x 2160) IPS display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The display mimics an edge to edge display with a fairly sized chin at the bottom. The display itself is protected by Gorilla Glass 4 and is edged out by a 2.5D glass. Under the hood, the Mix 2 packs an octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor along with the Adreno 540 GPU. The processor is backed by 6GB of RAM and 64 of internal storage. The internal memory, however, can’t be expanded as the phone lacks a micro-sd card slot. You are stuck with what you get! The phone, nonetheless, supports dual sim cards and is 4G compatible.

In the camera department, the Mi Mix 2 packs a f/2.0 12MP rear camera backed by a built-in OIS and a dual-tone LED flash. The phone also has a f/2.0 5MP front camera placed awkwardly at the chin of the phone. The Mix 2 also comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner embedded into its back glass/ceramic panel. Other sensors include an accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor and a gyroscope. Software-wise, the phone runs Android 7.1 Nougat with Xiaomi’s own custom skin, MIUI 9 overlaid on top of it. And finally powering this device all up is a large 3400mAh non-user removable battery. This will be enough to get users a full day worth of battery life without any issues. And if the battery does run out there is the inclusion of Quick Charge 3.0 and USB Type-C for faster charging time.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is somewhat of a unique smartphone which packs some powerful internals. Due to a lot of fanfare and demand, the phone is making its way to Nepal. It is expected to be priced at around Rs 70,000 here and will come in limited quantities. Stay tuned as we keep you updated about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 which will be launching next week!
