Xiaomi offers Poco X3 as one of the strong competitors in a powerful mid-range device segment with amazing specs. The device was launched in Nepal a few months back and the brand has already launched a Pro version of the model as well. The Poco X3 comes as the brand’s original design character and it is not based on Redmi models. The originally inspired design of the model brings its own character and makes it stand out in the crowd.
The Xiaomi Poco X3 is one of the best options under Rs 30,000 budget phones in Nepal. The device offers a massive screen, stunning rear and front camera settings, gigantic RAM accompanied by a powerful battery, this phone is a clear choice in a budget segment. However, the smartphone does come with a hybrid SIM slot, considering the fact that the device has only 64GB of internal storage–dual SIM users might have to adjust on this part.
The overall design of the all-new Poco X3 is sleek and easy on the hand and gamers might like it very well. Upfront, the top of the screen houses a selfie camera in a bezel-less punch-hole display centrally. While the back has been kept quite busy with distinctive stripe accents, a massive Poco logo, and a unique horizontal camera setup. The design of the device has been continued to its successor as well. The back and the frame are made up of plastic with a glossy finish. The fingerprint scanner is fixed at a side-mounted power button.
As per the design, the Poco X3 sports a 6.67-inch full-HD+ LCD screen with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Meanwhile, the device also supports a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and has an 84.6% screen-to-body ratio. The display is pretty similar to its elder sibling Poco X3 Pro but the sequel does get Corning Gorilla Glass 6 for protection and Poco X3 comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for screen protection. The device further delivers 1080 x 2400 pixels screen resolution along with a top-graded 395ppi pixel density. Similarly, the brightness tops at 450 nits.
Performance and Battery
The most essential part of the device is the processor–it uses an Octa-core (2×2.3 GHz Kryo 470 Gold & 6×1.8 GHz Kryo 470 Silver) Qualcomm Snapdragon 732G built on an 8 nm process. The Poco X3 runs Android 10 with MIUI 12. It also comes with an adequate cooling system for a longer period of mobile gaming. The device will be available in 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM variant and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. Meanwhile, in Nepal users will only have a 128GB storage variant available. It comes with a massive Li-Polymer 5160 mAh non-removable battery that is compatible with a 33W fast charging support that is used on its successor as well. It should charge the device from 0-50% in half an hour.
