XIaomi Redmi 4A receives a price cut

Vatsal Impex Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor of Xiaomi products in Nepal has slashed the price of their budget smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A. The phone which was tagged at Rs 14,999 has been silently slashed to Rs 14,499. This might very well be the sign of the follow up of the phone, the Redmi 5A launching soon here in Nepal. Before we get caught up in the newer product, let us see what the last years best budget smartphone has to offer.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A packs a 5 inch HD IPS display with a pixel density of 296PPI. The display is edged out by a 2.5D glass giving users a seamless experience. Under the hood, the Redmi 4A packs a 1.4Ghz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor along with the Adreno 308 GPU. The processor is backed by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The inbuilt memory can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The phone also supports dual Nano-sim cards but only at the expense of the memory card slot.

In the camera department, the phone packs a f/2.2 13MP rear camera accompanied by a LED flash. The phone also has a f/2.2 5MP front camera for all your selfies. Software-wise, the phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Xiaomi’s own custom skin MIUI 8.0 overlaid on top of it. The phone sadly doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner! However, the phone does pack some other sensors like an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and a digital compass. And finally powering this device all up is a large 3120mAh non-user removable battery. This coupled with the 720p display will be enough to get users through a full day of moderate to heavy usage without any issues.

The Xiaomi Redmi 4A is a great budget smartphone and now you can buy the phone for Rs 500 less. The 32GB variant of the phone too received a price cut just some few weeks ago and is available for Rs 15,999. If you are in the market for a budget smartphone that just works, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A is your best and safest choice right now.
