Well, let’s take a closer look at the phone and find out for ourselves.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus packs a 5.99 inch Full HD IPS display with an 18:9 near bezel-less design. The phone comes encased in a metallic shell which looks and feels premium. Under the hood, the Redmi 5 Plus packs an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor along with the Adreno 506 GPU. The processor is backed by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The internal memory can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The phone also supports dual sim-cards but only at the expense of the memory card slot.

In the camera department, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus packs a f/2.2 12MP rear camera along with a dual-tone LED flash. The phone also has a 5MP front camera for all your selfies. The Redmi 5 Plus also comes equipped with a fingerprint scanner embedded into its back panel. Other sensors include an accelerometer, compass, proximity sensor and a gyroscope. Software-wise, the phone runs Android 7.1.2 Nougat with Xiaomi’s own custom skin, MIUI 9 overlaid on top of it. And finally powering this device all up is a large 4000mAh non-user removable battery. This will be enough to get users a full day worth of battery life without any issues.
