Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A to be launched soon in Nepal

Vatsal Impex Pvt. Ltd, the official distributor of Xiaomi smartphones in Nepal is gearing up to launch their latest budget smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A. The phone is the follow up to the last year’s popular budget smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi 4A. The phone has received some noticeable upgrades in terms of both hardware and software, compared to its predecessor. Here are all the things the phone offers for an estimated price of around Rs 15,000.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A packs a 5.5 inch HD IPS display with a pixel density of 267PPI. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 3 and is edged out by a 2.5D glass. Under the hood, the Note 5A packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor along with the Adreno 308 GPU. The processor is backed by 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The inbuilt memory can be further expanded via a micro-sd card up to 256GB. The phone also is 4G compatible and supports dual Nano-sim cards. In the camera department, the phone packs a f/2.2 13MP rear camera accompanied by a LED flash. The phone also has a f/2.0 5MP front camera for all your selfies. Software-wise, the phone runs Xiaomi’s own custom skin MIUI 9.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat. The phone sadly, this time too, doesn’t come with a fingerprint scanner. However, the phone does come with other sensors like an accelerometer, proximity sensor, and a digital compass. And finally powering this device all up is a 3080mAh non-user removable battery. This coupled with the 720p display will be enough to get users through a full day of heavy usage without any problems.

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A is expected to hit the Nepali market this week for an estimated price of around 15,000. The phone definitely looks to be a promising budget smartphone which has almost all the feature set in check. A fingerprint scanner would have been highly appreciated in a 2017 budget smartphone. That said, if you are looking for a great budget smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A is a very good option an I would definitely check it out.
