Yamaha opens booking for the Aerox 155 in Nepal; set to come at Rs 4.75 lakh
Yamaha Nepal has opened the booking of its maxi-scooter–the Aerox 155-at its official showroom located in Blue square, Naxal for a booking fee of Rs 5,000. The Aerox 155 comes with a sporty design, high-tech features, and the same 155 cc engine as the Yamaha R15 V4 models. The company plans to launch the scooter next week in Nepal–at an introductory price of Rs 4,74,900.
Design and features
The Aerox 155 is a maxi-scooter that is based on the Heart-Shaking Speedster design concept. The front fascia features LED headlights with LED DRLs, and on the rear, the scooter gets LED tail lamps. The scooter also comes with a two-level seat, and below it is a 24.5-litre under seat storage. In terms of dimensions, the scooter measures 1980 mm in length, 700 mm in width, and 1150 mm in height, and it has a ground clearance of 145 mm. Furthermore, the scooter is offered in two different colours: Racing Blue and Grey Vermillion.
The Aerox 155 also gets a digital 5.8-inch negative LCD screen–which is integrated with the company’s Y-Connect app–that features a speedometer, rpm readouts, and VVA indicator. Furthermore, the scooter also comes with a Y-Connect app that suggests maintenance recommendations, tracks your last parked location, and also features a fuel-consumption gauge and a clock. Other notable features are its LED lighting, front disc brakes, 5.5-litre fuel tank capacity, smart motor generator system, side stand engine cut-off system, automatic start and stop system, Bluetooth connectivity, and single-channel ABS, among others.
Powertrain
The Aerox 155’s powertrain gets the same engine as the company’s R15 V4 that is paired with a CVT gearbox. The Aerox 155 is powered by a 155 cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, four-valve, liquid-cooled, SOHC engine. The engine generates a peak power of 14.5 hp at 8000 rpm and a peak torque of 13.9 Nm at 6250 rpm. The scooter gets a fuel tank capacity of 5.5-litre and it provides an approximate mileage of 45 kmpl. Furthermore, the scooter also comes with VVA technology, which makes the engine more flexible and enhances its performance.

Chassis
The Aerox 155’s suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork at the front, and on the rear, the scooter gets a unit swing. As for brakes, the scooter gets a single-disc brake with an anti-lock braking system at the front, and on the rear, the scooter gets a drum brake.

Aerox 155 price in Nepal
MAW Enterprises, the authorised distributor of Yamaha two-wheelers in Nepal, has opened the booking for the Aerox 155 and plans it to launch in next week. The company has offered the scooter at Rs 4,74,900, which will serve as a rival to the Aprilia SXR 160.
