Yamaha unveils its entry level bike: the 2023 R125
Yamaha has unveiled its entry level bike–the 2023 R125. The new R125 comes with new design changes and newly added features, however, the full-faired bike gets the same 125 cc engine that generates a peak power of 15 hp and peak torque of 11.5 Nm.
Design

The all-new R125 adopts its design from the YZF-R15 V4. The bike comes with a bi-functional LED projector headlamps, LED DRLs, a windshield, split-set-up seats, side-slung exhaust, and split grab rails. Furthermore, the bike is available in three colour options: Icon Blue, Tech Black, and Competition White.

The new bike comes equipped with a five-inch TFT display that offers smartphone connectivity via Bluetooth; the connectivity feature allows users to receive the notifications of incoming calls and text messages. The other notable features are mobile charger, Traction Control System (TCS), dual-channel ABS, assist and slipper clutch, quickshifter, Variable Valve Activation (VVA), and side stand engine cut-off switch, among others.
Powertrain
The 2023 R125 comes with the same powertrain as its outgoing models. The bike is powered by a 125 cc, single-cylinder engine that produces a peak power of 15 hp at 9000 rpm and a peak torque of 11.5 Nm at 8000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Furthermore, the bike will be offered in two riding modes: Street and Track.
